If my child is absent, who do I call and if I need to pick him/her up early, what do I do?

If your child is absent from school, please call Ms. Mota, our attendance secretary at 973-292-2200 Ext. 8066  When leaving a message, please make sure you include your child’s name, grade and House.

If you need to pick your child up early for a medical appointment, etc, please write a note (as you did in the elementary schools) and have your child bring it to Ms Mota, in the Main Office on their way into school or during home room.  When you pick your child up, park in the parking lot and walk to the front of the building.  Ring the bell to be buzzed in (remember, for our children and staff’s safety, please wait to be buzzed in and you may not hold the door for anyone approaching the building).  You will then go to the main office and sign your child out.  If your child is returning to school, you can drop them off in the front of the building and wait for them to be “buzzed” in.  They will report to the main office for a pass, and return to class. (Ms. Mota will advise them which block they are in.)
